How to ask
tarot for advice
The better you formulate your question, the easier it is for tarot to send success, answers, momentum, wisdom in your direction. Make it easy for tarot cards to help you by being specific in your question!
“Same, same, but different” Thais can say if you ask them for directions. They point in both directions and they are right! All roads lead to Rome and it is up to you whether you choose one route or the other.
The answers you get from tarot depend on how clearly you have asked. If you ask for the fastest route, you will be directed to the main road, and if you ask for the most beautiful route, you will be directed to the daisy route. If you do not say that you prefer transport by bicycle, you may risk being assigned a route that is not suitable for this.
Through the spiritual we can get inspiration, help, guidance, and in the latter a number of different outcomes are often presented.
If you take one of these options and stick to it, the chance of it coming true will of course be all the greater. Unfortunately, this applies to both good and bad outcomes.
This can be compared to you as the captain on board your ship listening to the advice your navigator gives you:
“If we set the course 15 degrees to the east, we’ll get right where we want to go, but if we sail straight ahead, we’ll hit a rock in two nautical miles”. If you then choose a straight course, you will run aground. And when it happens, don’t blame your navigator – or the universe for that matter. You are your own captain, but the universe would very much like to give you all the help and guidance you could possibly want.
In the year 1965, a 43-year-old woman died in a hospital in Canada for no apparent reason, and only shortly after a perfectly performed minor operation. It later turned out that at the age of five she had been told that she would die when she turned 43. Her birthday had been a week before the operation and she had told her sister and a nurse that she did not expect to survive it.
The surgeons cautiously suggested that the emotional tension caused by her expecting the prediction to come true might have something to do with her death.
This is not to say that this was the case, but it is absolutely certain that if you believe a lot in a negative prediction such as that your relationship will break up within a few years or the like, then it is absolutely certain that it will break up. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, where the responsibility is placed on the prediction, while it is actually the lack of effort in the relationship or even destructive actions such as extraneous behavior that lead to its downfall.
So it is not the divination itself that leads to your destiny. It is your own interpretation of the answers that is important, not the answers themselves. It is the responsibility you yourself take for your own destiny and your own life that is the real result-creator.
Predictions may very well be taken at face value and set in stone, to the extent that they are positive. Positive predictions can pave the way for success and are used to have good hopes for the future. Our attitude towards life is very much a self-fulfilling prophecy, as with the right attitude we attract good energy and vice versa.
There is a prerequisite in the spiritual universe that one takes responsibility for one’s own life. If you do this, you should probably get all the help and guidance you could possibly want.
It is a general spiritual view that the energies only help you when you have brought yourself into a state so that you are open for the good energies to come to you.
The spiritual universe contains infinite help and love, and wants to help you in all your endeavors – but it all starts with you. If you choose to use spirituality for existential escapism and self-delusion, this is exactly what you get.
If you seek to evade your life lesson, you will have a hard time in life until the lessons are learned. Until then, you cannot give your full attention to the joys of life, as you are not free to seize its chances. You’ll be too busy getting back on your feet after getting knocked out time after time.
Tarot can help you with almost anything. What should I do with this or that? However, the directions of the tarot cards are not predictions as such. It is more guidance on how to achieve the best possible solution.
Whether the answers you get through tarot cards come from the energies of the universe or from your own subconscious, only you can sense. However, one should not neglect the value of tarot cards as an advanced form of reflection on a question and an attempt to get to one’s unconscious thoughts and desires.
It is your own interpretation of the answers you get from tarot cards that is important, not the answers themselves. It is the responsibility you yourself take for your own destiny and your own life that is the real creator of results.
It can be tempting to use the spiritual to abdicate one’s own responsibility for life and development, but we humans are not part of a larger puppet theater where everything is controlled by higher forces. Spiritual people seek to live in harmony with their own inner soul and in harmony with their surroundings.
They seek to follow their heart, their intuition and therefore often end up in the right place in life. It can be tempting to throw away the reins by concluding that everything is predetermined after all, sit back and say “oh well”. This line of thinking is of course most tempting when things are not going well. But if one gives up and becomes apathetic, this whole apathy in one’s being will only intensify.
If you believe a lot in a negative prediction – such as your relationship breaking up within a few years, or similar – then it is quite likely that it will break up. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, where the responsibility is placed on the fortuneteller, when in reality it is the lack of effort in the relationship or even destructive actions, such as extramarital affairs, that lead to its downfall.
The answers you get from tarot cards should be seen as possible outcomes that might occur if the current course is continued. In other words, prophecies that can be used to face the opportunities and pitfalls life has in store for you.
Perhaps you have heard statements like; “There are no coincidences. Everything has a spiritual meaning and contains a lesson for you” – which can be perceived as free will being left to higher powers. But if you sit back and wait for what is now destined for you and your life, you will be waiting a very long time.
It is only when you throw yourself into life and take responsibility for your own happiness and well-being that the spiritual takes shape and comes with help and guidance to you.
If you are in good contact with your intuition, you will be able to sense where it is best for you to be – which is where you can learn what you need to learn right now – in order to do well in the long term, grow and become a bigger person. Tarot cards can help you become more clear about your options and thus become better at making the right choices in life.
If the tarot cards don’t understand your question, they don’t know what to answer! So make it easy for the universal energies to help you achieve success, progress, make the right choices, by being clear about what exactly you want answers to, help with.
